Cyber Defenders
The Cyber Defenders programs are education programs that exposes students to real-world cyber security problems.LANL's College Cyber Defenders program hosted 11 students for the summer of 2003. Students ranged from college freshmen through PhD students. The following schools were represented:

- 802.11 direction finding
- Data fusion using NLP techniques
- Vulnerability scanning systems
- Immersive visualization
- Attack traffic characterization
- Automated forensics tools
- Windows protocol analysis of attacks
Cyber Defenders Institute
The Cyber Defenders Institute is an intensive two-week program to introduce
cyber security concepts to New Mexico high school students. Our 2003 institute
included was held at San Juan College in Farmington and had participation from 44 students from all over New Mexico.
