Network Archaeology Track
Analyzing network traffic and log files to find evidence, malware, or behavior; reverse-engineering binary protocols.
Please bring:
- A laptop with Linux or MacOS (inside a VM is fine)
- Wireshark
- tcpflow
- A C compiler is highly recommended
- Advanced programming skills are not required. If you have a programming language you're comfortable with, have what you need to use it installed. Otherwise, install python3.
- A plain text or code editor of some sort. If you're using python3, it comes with one (IDLE).

Training Tracks
Location
Tracer FIRE 5 will be held entirely online. We recommend setting up dedicated space for participants at your site, so that they may focus on the training and excercise, away from their normal work environment.
Larger "regional hubs" are being established in key cities for participants to congregate. Information about hubs will be emailed to you after you register.
